The activity of “Doina Baraganului” Folk Ensemble is coordinated by the County Centre for Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture, Ialomita, institution which develops its activity under the authority of the Ialomita County Council.

In its essence and activity, “Doina Baraganului” Folk Ensemble has become a symbol of youth, enthusiasm, optimism, perseverance and quality, a messenger of Romanian traditions, whose work is synonymous with polishing the precious stones of our national folk treasure.

The ensemble is formed of dancers, an orchestra and folk singers, who are either part of the old generation or young artists, having the mission to learn and transmit the values of the Romanian folklore.

The Executive Director of the ensemble is prof. dr. Cristian Obrejan.
